What would I be doing?

Delivers superior internal and external guest service the Boyd Gaming Way by ensuring every interaction includes our Six Core Service Standards (Look sharp, smile and greet the guest; Be friendly, polite and use courteous language; Provide especially timely and knowledgeable service and then some; Always find solutions to guests’ problems; Use the guest’s name when appropriate; Thank the guest and invite him or her back.); and work harmoniously with fellow team members.

Assumes responsibility for properly preparing any and all foods listed on the respective menus that are to be grilled, fired, broiled, prepared in the pantry or created as a cold item.

Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe requirements.

Recognizes a variety of sauces and properly places them on all entrees featured on daily menus.

Keeps work station neat and clean; may participates in kitchen cleaning work such as washing and cleaning equipment

Assists team members to ensure efficient operation of the line.

.Notifies higher level management of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely manner.

Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and innovations in the field of customer service.

Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.

Responsibilities

The Cook properly prepares any and all foods listed on the respective menus that are to be grilled, fired, broiled, prepared in the pantry or created as a cold item; provides routine support duties to higher level management staff; and performs related tasks within area of assignment.

What are we looking for?

• Must be 18 years of age
• Possession of and ability to maintain a valid gaming license within assigned state of employment
• Must successfully pass background check
• Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
• Must be willing to work weekends, Friday and Saturday nights, and holidays if needed.
