Position Summary: The Lead IT Engineer position is a dynamic role will work with a team of Network and System Engineers to help ensure that systems are designed, implemented, and maintained in the most effective and efficient way to support the growing needs of Bozeman Health. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree in a related field; equivalent combinations of education and/or experience considered Seven (7) years of experience with servers, desktop, and peripherals Five (5) years of experience configuring and maintaining Firewalls, Network switches, Citrix equipment, wireless, server and storage platforms in a moderately sized organization Three (3) years of experience leading technology projects and technical teams Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent Preferred: Prior hospital or medical practice experience Preferred: ITIL Certification – Required within 12 months of hire Preferred: Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) Essential Job Functions: Install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot routers, gateways, firewalls, and other networking infrastructure for local area and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), including Internet connectivity Support backup and disaster recovery solutions associated both BH and the affiliated clinics core system infrastructure Install, administer, support, and maintain server hardware, peripherals, software, and operating system. Manage and support the information systems security solutions that make up both BDH and the affiliated clinics core infrastructure Assist other staff to resolve technical and process issues Partner with the Department Manager to ensure ongoing projects, initiatives, and service requests are accomplished Motivate, mentor and inspire the team in order to ensure that commitments are met on time and with quality, ensuring timely communication of challenges and successes of the team to management and/or the team at large Perform administrative duties including, but not limited to managing Purchase Orders, processing timecards, preparing budgetary information Provide on-call support on rotating schedule Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrate sound judgment, patience, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times Exercise tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintain confidentiality Perform essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment Learn current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines Work varied shifts as scheduled and/or needed The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to the job classification.
