RESULTS STATEMENTThe Irrigation Crew Leader strategically leads their crew, ensuring that work tickets are completed successfully with safety, quality and efficiency to BSS standards, while facilitating a culture that embraces continuous improvement, is client-focused and promotes ethical behavior that empowers their team to maintain these standards.
STRATEGIC WORK1. Motivates staff to perform with excellence by modeling professionalism and servant leadership2. Monitors team equipment and ensures that all essential repairs are reported in a timely manner3. Adheres to and maintains Standard Operating Procedures for routine division practices4. Trains new hires on Aspire5. Communicates with Division Leader regarding team needs6. Meets with Division Leader weekly to discuss quality and improvement and team’s performance
TACTICAL WORK1. Explains and carries out the most efficient way to perform a job, including irrigation start ups, shut down and repairs2. Explains any notes about the job3. Double checks that the job is complete and property is left better than when BSS arrived4. Picks up any garbage or debris on jobsite5. Ensures records are correctly entered in Aspire6. Monitors and demonstrates safe use of equipment and drives (and backs-up) truck and trailer to/at worksites7. Communicates with clients on jobsite with professionalism, respect and confidentiality8. Makes necessary preparations for the next day as noted in Standard Operating Procedures9. Performs regular irrigation system audits10. Exhibits willingness to work on any company crew (BSS prefers and provides opportunities for year-round employment)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS1. 18 years of age or older2. One year experience strongly preferred but will train3. Legal, valid, unrestricted, driver's license4. Reasonable Suspicion Training for Supervisors provided at BSS
5. Ability to back up and drive with a trailer efficiently
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORKING CONDITIONS1. Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling2. Lifting and raising objects up to 55 pounds from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position, to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles
3. Fingering, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion4. Talking and hearing5. Subject to changing environmental conditions, including small and/or wet spaces6. Subject to business office environment
