What are the responsibilities and job description for the Convenience Strategy Lead position at BP?
About the Role:
Develop, communicate, and supervise the M&C Americas convenience retail strategy in conjunction with the vice president, Convenience to deliver a differentiated, competitive offer for the US and Mexico. Serve as the initial interface for convenience strategy integration and subsequent engagement with the vice president, Convenience or other relevant business leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop long term convenience strategy – 5 year horizon – as input into long term planning process
- Integrate convenience into other business entity strategies (e.g. multi-energy hubs, fleet offerings, etc.)
- Supervise and support delivery of convenience strategy roadmap (near to mid-term – 5 year horizon) through the established roadmap refresh and portfolio management processes
- Monitor market trends and provide competitor insights to support the convenience retail business using both internal and external resources
- Partner with the M&C Americas Business Development team to proactively assess commercial development opportunities for strategic fit and prioritization within the portfolio
- Actively participate in relevant global convenience forums bringing forward regional perspectives
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related degree is required for this role.
- MBA encouraged
- 10 years convenience retail related experience – operational or strategic
- Experience developing and delivering international/multi country strategies & programs Experience leading efforts in a highly matrixed, global organization Experience managing conflict and aligning partners at all levels
