What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychometrician position at BPTA?
We are an outpatient mental health private practice, with locations in North Reading and Kingston, seeking a dynamic individual with an interest in mental health. The applicant will be administering psychological tests and assisting in report writing for individuals seeking neuropsychological assessments to assist in the diagnosis of learning, developmental and/or mental health concerns. Experience working successfully with children and adults in a clinical setting is required. Previous test administration skills are preferred but not required.
This is a perfect position for a pre/post doc or grad student to obtain hours needed for graduation and licensure.
Responsibilities:
- Provide neuropsychological and psychological testing under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
- Document behavioral observations of patients during testing.
- Standardized administration and scoring of psychological and neuropsychological tests, patient questionnaires, and questionnaires completed by third-party resources.
- Scoring the administered measures and documenting scores.
- Entering test results in the patient database.
- Assist with report writing
Experience or familiarity with administering and scoring neuropsychological assessments (such as WAIS, WISC, NEPSY, DKEFS, RBANS, WCST, MMPI, PAI, etc) and/or academic assessments is preferred.
We are looking for applicants who are highly organized, able to effectively multitask, and can effectively interact with diverse patients- both children and adults. Experience with behavioral management is preferred. Due to the flexibility with scheduling, strong time management, organizational, and critical thinking skills are a must. Supervisory hours are available. A portion of this position can be done remotely from home. This position has a lot of flexibility and we are looking for someone who can commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week with an option to move to full time towards fall 2023. Full benefits package for full time employees.
