An exciting opportunity exists for a Riser Burner to join our Atchison, KS. The Riser Burner role is to machine castings as needed within company goals and objectives serving internal and external customers.
Purpose:
Support Cleaning department’s safety, production, and quality goals.
Location Atchison, KS
Shift: 2nd Shift (Will train for at least 90 day on 1st shift upon hire)
Wage: $23.12

Responsibilities:
- Remove excess metal left from molding process
- Remove any excess metal due to runout, crush or core breakage using riser burn (special instruction will be given in this type of situation)
- Keep work area clean
- Keep equipment in good working order
- Alert supervisor of any safety or quality issues
- Alert supervisor of any maintenance issues
- Recommend process improvements when noticed
- Participate in special activities, projects, and programs to support Bradken safety, quality and productivity goals
- Other duties assigned or requested by supervision
- Operation and usage of cutting torch for dressing
- Ability to operate various pneumatic hammers
- Operation of bridge cranes
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
