Insurance Representative
Job Posting for Insurance Representative at Bradley County Medical Center
Position Summary: Responsible for billing and follow-up on all third party
insurance claims and ensures prompt and accurate reimbursement.
Position Accountabilities:
- Processes and verifies insurance claims completely and accurately.
- Performs data input into computer system.
- Does follow-up on unpaid claims.
- Notifies Collections Department of non-payment of insurance accounts
by releasing insurance.
- Calculates contractual adjustments.
- Performs clerical duties.
- Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent patient care information.
- Performs Charge Master duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma.
Experience and Training:
Three years' previous experience; familiarity with third party
billing requirements, reimbursement system and medical terminology.
