What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Brady Trucking?
The Dispatcher is responsible for working effectively with customers, locating loads for transport, providing competitive rate quotes, and identifying the best possible routes for transport. The dispatcher will then input orders into the system and schedule drivers and trucks to transport loads both locally or long distance, routing trucks to the safest and most timely route.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years in standard dispatch operation
- Prior management experience
- Good people and communication skills
- Ability to make decisions with limited assistance
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Available some evenings, weekends, and holidays
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Additional education in business or management helpful
COMPETENCIES:
- Understanding and knowledge of transportation industry - driving, scheduling routes, etc
- Sales / Customer Service experience - ability to communicate with customers and resolve issues
- Ability to motivate and direct people, communicate objectives, make decisions, resolve problems

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
