Construction General Contractor

You’ll be in charge of quality-control and routinely inspect the work being done, guiding as needed with your industry know-how. $85,000 - $110,000 yearly Responsibilities:
Discuss project costs with the client and help the project manager plan out the day-to-day building project process

Buy the appropriate materials and equipment and reorder stock when it starts to run low to ensure the project can keep going

Ensure tools, vehicles, and equipment are well-maintained, and schedule maintenance for them if needed

Prevent injuries and slowdowns by demanding complete adherence to health and safety standards on construction sites, and quickly report issues to the project manager if they do arise

Find hardworking laborers and subcontractors with proper licensure to complete specialized tasks

Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles

Physical stamina to lift at least 40 lbs and use heavy equipment

At least one year of previous experience as a general contractor required, preferably 3 or more years

OSHA 30 certification and firm adherence to safety protocols on the job-site

Has basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
