Application Database Administrator

Pay Range Based off Experience
Partially Remote
Term is 11/1/21 to 6/30/24
· Designs, codes, compiles, tests, debugs and documents Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading activities
· Designs, develops, and executes database backup and recovery plans
· Manages application database capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning
· Manages any specialized data handling activities
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:
· SQL Server, Administration and Performance Tuning
· Index design
· Use DMO's to collect query data, index data
· Extended Events
· SSIS or other relevant ETL software
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:
· Familiarity with Web Based Applications, Entity Framework
· Database DevOps Practices
· SSRS
· SSAS
· PowerBI/Tableau or other BI Platforms
· Data Warehousing design
· SQL Server concurrency and isolation
· Data movements features of SQL Server
· Experience in unemployment insurance including but not limited to benefits, tax, appeals, benefit payment control, data validation, and program management
Contractor personnel will work on-site at State office buildings located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, primarily at the Louisiana Workforce Commission Contractor personnel, with permission of the State Project Manager, will work offsite. If approved for remote offsite work, Contractor should anticipate to work on-site an average of five (5) full business days per month.
