BASIC FUNCTION: The Associate Director of Fundraising Events and Sponsorships manages the Brandywine’s Radnor Hunt Races, the Brandywine’s premier fundraising event, and a Chester County tradition. This Associate Director also manages smaller events and secures sponsorships for fundraising events and programs, tracking and managing a contributed revenue line, and coordinating prospect pipeline of potential sponsors. The Associate Director is charged with creating an annual plan and the continual renewal and creation of fundraising events.

This position is a key member of the development team, working closely with race committees and volunteer and supervising part-time staff. The successful candidate will have experience designing and implementing large complex events, managing budgets, ticketing and sales, and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues and support staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plan, manage and evaluate the Brandywine’s annual Radnor Hunt Races and other fundraising events
  • Recruit, schedule and manage volunteers, as needed, to execute the Races and other fundraising events, oversee committees related to the event, and serve as the point of contact for all volunteers
  • Creates, implements, and evaluates galas, grand openings, and other fundraising events as needed.
  • Develop and monitor event timeline to ensure deadlines are being met for all fundraising events
  • Develop strategy, financial targets and, as identified, sell sponsorships for fundraising events
  • Initiate and manage the development and production of all event-related graphic and printing projects
  • Prepare, distribute and communicate the details of all fundraising events
  • Coordinate with other departments to help achieve goals, facilitate operations and maximize benefits of all fundraising event
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure the success outcomes based on attendance, expense, income generation and/or other pre-determined goals
  • Ensure the Races and other fundraising events are consistent with all local, state and federal laws and permits
  • Assist with development of social media/PR strategy for the Races and other fundraising events
  • Oversee and assist with the operations of fundraising events, including set up, execution and tear down
  • Act as on-site contact for fundraising events
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and P&L report communicating outcomes
  • Manages the Bike the Brandywine Event and its sponsors
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2-5 years successful large event experience with corporate sponsorship experience strongly preferred
  • Experience recruiting, motivating, and working with volunteers and volunteer committees
  • Ability to evaluate large events and continuously improve outcomes both programmatic and financial
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Flexibility in meeting shifting demands and priorities
  • Ability to collaborative within a team environment
  • Strong initiative and self-motivated
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites is required; familiarity with Raiser’s Edge, Altru, or other constituent relationship database is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
