Description:
The primary duties of the Senior Accountant are:
- Execute monthly close activities, which take place prior, during and after the closing period; and
- Be responsible for the Fixed Asset & Capital Projects activities
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare and post manual journal entries in SAP system, such as revenue adjustment, accruals, and reclassifications
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet GL accounts and comment on relevant changes
- Perform SOX internal controls
- Run Fixed Asset activities, which includes depreciation and capitalized interest
- Run Capital Project activities, which includes creation, retirement and close of projects in SAP, per information provided by the Investment Team
- Assist the Investment Team on the conclusion of the classification of projects (capital vs expense)
- Act as focal point in local and global projects that require accounting knowledge and expertise
- Support local and global departments with accounting knowledge and expertise
- Support Headquarters in Brazil with spot demands
Requirements:

- BS Degree in accounting
- 5 years experience in accounting Experience with SOX – Sarbannes Oxley internal controls
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong critical and analytical skills, as well as organization skills
- Strong team spirit skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Able to quickly adapt to change
- Process oriented
Preferred Skills:
- Audit Firm experience
- Experience in ERP system SAP
- Experience with IFRS – International Financial Reporting Standards
