Must be at least 16 years of age. Shelves books for the Library System within established guidelines by performing the following duties.
Shift: 20 hours per week as assignedESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Regular attendance is required
Shelves books according to Dewey Decimal System
Shelves other library material alphabetically and periodicals by date
Straightens library books and library materials
Counts materials used by patrons for statistical reports as necessary
Types and files as needed
Cleans and mends library material when assigned
Retrieves materials from non-public areas for patrons
Cross trains on the Circulation Desk, including using the online computerized system
Answers telephone as needed
Performs other work as needed
Other duties may be assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This is not a supervisory position.QUALIFICATIONS

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
