The Street to Home Brooklyn and Queens program is a 24/7 operation providing outreach and case management services to individuals experiencing street homelessness in Brooklyn and Queens. Rooted in Harm Reduction and Housing First service models, this program helps individuals secure permanent housing and connects people to an array of critical services. Reporting to the Senior Director, Street to Home Brooklyn Queens, the Director, Operations and Logistics is integral to the day-to-day operations of the program including vehicle fleet and facilities management, budgetary oversight, and supervision of support operations of the program. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Oversee approximately 5 employees, including 24/7 staff Responsible for oversight of 311 dispatch team including deployment, reporting, and follow-up with partner agencies Update and maintain Memorandums of Understanding for all Stabilization Bed partners Oversee the local responsibilities of fleet management for 30 vehicles. Project manage to ensure timely submission of accident reports and follow-up, as well as developing systems of accountability to ensure vehicles are operated in a safe and professional manner. Ensuring all vehicle repairs and service claims are resolved for two programs Provide fiscal management, maintain vendor contracts, and coordinate facility repairs and maintenance for two programs Coordinate and oversee quarterly, borough-wide census counts and special initiatives. Coordinate yearly HOPE Count for the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens Conduct and coordinate regular inspections of vehicles and facilities for safety Support the department's planned growth by overseeing operations and logistics support for additional outreach programs, duties may include supervise additional support staff, fleet management, liaison with other Breaking Ground departments, budget management, maintaining and updating lease agreements, MOUs and vendor agreements, ensure the teams IT needs are met, oversee compliance with government contract subcontracting and purchasing rules and other duties to ensure the successful operations of the outreach team Act as a main point of contact with partner agencies for technical and systems support Performs other related duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of five years’ related work experience with at least two years in a supervisory capacity. Must develop solid working relationships with clients and personnel Knowledge of facilities maintenance and operations along with strong coordination with multiple partners to move projects forward Knowledge of Fire & Safety systems and security camera systems a plus Experience creating workflows and systems to ensure clear communication of complex projects Experience working with people with histories of substance use disorders and/or psychiatric illness is preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Valid NY driver’s license with a driving record in good standing Maintaining a good driving record (as defined by the organization) is a condition of employment. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred Compensation: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 / Per Annum
