Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the catering team to ensure seamless operation and exceptional service delivery
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve catering revenue and profitability targets
- Oversee menu planning, food preparation, and presentation for various events and functions
- Collaborate with clients to understand their catering needs and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Manage all aspects of event logistics, including staffing, equipment, and setup
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards
- Monitor and control costs to achieve budgeted financial goals
- Implement and maintain efficient catering processes and procedures
- Provide leadership in recruitment, training, and performance management of catering staff
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Participate in marketing and promotional activities to attract new catering business
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the catering service offering
- Prepare regular reports and analysis on catering performance and financial metrics
- Stay updated with catering industry trends and best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field
- Proven experience in catering or food service management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale catering operations and diverse event requirements
- Strong understanding of menu planning, food presentation, and culinary trends
- Excellent client management and communication skills
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and catering industry standards
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proven track record in driving catering revenue growth and business development
- Certification in Food Safety and Sanitation is preferred
- Proficiency in catering management software and Microsoft Office suite
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and weekends, as required by catering schedules
- Ability to thrive under pressure and handle multiple priorities effectively
