Job Description
- Maintain an individual book of business by soliciting, developing, marketing, and selling new and renewal business in accordance with applicable state insurance regulations for current and future product lines
- Determine clients' unique needs and financial situations with a thorough review of present coverage and investments and discussion of long-term goals
- Develop a coordinated protection plan by calculating and quoting rates for immediate coverage action and long-term strategy implementation
- Obtain underwriting approval through a completed application for coverage
- Complete coverage by delivering policy and planning future follow-up visits and evaluations of needs
- Process insurance policy renewals
- Service the agency product lines and handle various types of customer service matters
- Commit to continuous learning by participating in educational opportunities, maintaining network, and participating in professional organizations
- Partner with Bremer Bank business line sales partners on sales strategies, joint calls, and opportunity sharing
- Drive within Bremer's footprint to customer and prospect sites and Bremer Bank branches to meet in person regularly with sales team, bank partners, customers, and prospects
- As a member of the Bremer team, other duties may be assigned in order to fulfill Bremer’s mission, vision, and strategic plan objectives
Qualifications
A combination of education and experience which enables the incumbent to be successful in the role is generally acquired through the attainment of a college degree and 2 years of proven sales results. Candidates must be licensed to sell property and casualty or able to obtain licensing within 60 days of hire.
- Extensive knowledge of various insurance products and policies
- Ability to determine best insurance policy for individual clients
- Excellent interpersonal and sales skills
- Ability to identify and contact prospective clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to regularly drive across Bremer's footprint to Bremer bank locations, customer and prospect sites
