YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Summary :
TheDOT Driver is responsible for making timely deliveries to customers on the assignedroute in a safe and professional manner.
Job Description :
- Drivingdaily Hazmat, Tanker, LTL, or Bulk loads in the local area.
- Loading and / or unloading of bulk, drummed, or bagged material.
- Operate a forklift.
- Follow all operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Reports all non-conformances as they occur using proper forms.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner and follow all rules and regulations.
- Completes all training as required in the Regulatory / Compliance TrainingProgram.
- Properly use materials such as labels, placards, stenciling and paint.
- Properly cares for and uses all equipment such as forklifts, drum handlingequipment, pumps, hoses, etc.
- Securedual sign off before transferring any product from one vessel to another.
YOUR PROFILE
Education and Experience :
- HighSchool Diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 3 years commercial Class A CDL driving experience in anindustrial / chemical environment.
- Experience with box vans and tankers required.
- Current Class A CDL wit Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements, clean motor vehiclerecord, ability to meet DOT requirements.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical evaluation and obtain a DOT Medical Card.
- Must be able to sit and drive for long periods of time.
- Must have the ability to repeatedly bend; lift, push, pull and or move up to100 pounds; proper lifting techniques required.
- Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions in the Englishlanguage.
- Knowledge of DOT load securement regulations.
- Employment is contingent upon completion of background investigation, E-Verifycheck, and pre-employment drug screening.
