Position Summary
Temporary Extra Help position . Under direction from Program PI, Program Director, Intern Coordinator, and Rafael Cintrón Ortiz Latino Cultural Center (LCC) staff, provides instruction and support for the CIM2AS summer internship program.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assists LCC staff to develop new programmatic elements to engage the CIM2AS summer research interns in supporting the development of their identities as scientists and researchers.
  • Actively participate in LCC & CIM2AS engagement activities.
  • Provides summer research interns with instruction on field work, data collection, and data analysis. Be available for additional mentoring and support as needed.
  • Assists Intern Coordinator with coordinating the logistics and activities for field research, including arranging travel, identifying research sites, planting and monitoring milkweeds, and data quality control.
