A highly reputable healthcare system in the Southern Salinas Valley in Monterey County California is searching for a Break Staff RN to join its growing team! In this role, you will float to multiple units, including the ED, Med/Surg, and Skilled Nursing, and provide the necessary break coverage for nurses during their shifts. You will provide safe and effective patient care and demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide individualized and age-appropriate care to patients across multiple units. Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and individualized nursing care in a therapeutic environment for patients and families whose needs range from basic to complex, utilizing the nursing process.
- Gather and interpret data through history taking and physical assessments and plan interventions to meet patients’ needs.
- Document care provided and the patient’s progress toward desired outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about the plan of care and how to manage their care after discharge.
- Administer medications to patients as directed.
Qualifications:
- Active RN License.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school, BSN preferred.
- 1 years of acute care experience.
