The health services at Brevillier include, but not limited to, home care, hospice care, rehabilitation, and personal care.
Classification: Full Time – Part Time Schedule: 8-hour shifts and 12 hour shifts – Day shifts and Night shifts Starting Rate: $13.00, experience increases entry level rate
Position Highlights:
- Observe the needs of the residents and respond to those individual needs. Respond to all call bells, including assigned residents and all other residents
- Complete personal care assignment as directed including resident hair washing, bathing, dressing and grooming. Assist residents with toileting and/or incontinence care
- Transport or walk residents to and from meals, activities, etc. Responsible to walk residents on a daily walking program as established by Nurse or Rehab Staff
- Report any resident change of condition or condition which is out of the ordinary to the nurse, i.e. changes in eating, toilet habits, weight, level of awareness, etc.
- Take temperatures, pulses, respirations, blood pressures and weights.
- Transfer residents from wheelchair to chairs and beds, and be familiar with proper lifting techniques and mechanical lifts.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a PCA
- Valid PCA/HHA certifications preferred, not required
