Job Summary: The Retail Assistant Manager assists the Retail Manager with the direction, coordination, and operation of the retail store. He/she is responsible for supervising store employees in the absence of the Retail Manager. The Retail Assistant Manager ensures that proper customer care is practiced, that company merchandise and funds are properly cared for, and that company policies are followed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: NOTE: Brewer Oil Co. unilaterally may change the requirements of this job description at any time. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist in the absence of the Retail Manager to ensure that the store is operated during company’s desired hours, and to ensure that the store is sufficiently staffed to meet company and customer expectations concerning service and appearance
- Assist the Retail Manager with paperwork, daily store reports, and deposits
- Assist the Retail Manager in encouraging, assisting, and training employees to become part of a motivated sales force, as needed
- Control store merchandise inventory and cash
- Work with vendors and ensure that correct merchandise is received
- Ensure compliance of established policies, procedures and practices
- Assist customers with inquiries and complaints
- Lock and secure the store when scheduled, in the absence of the Retail Manager
- Run cash register; stock and clean store
- Perform other duties as assigned

Salary : $16 - $16
