HOST JOB SUMMARY

As a host on our team, you will utilize your strong interpersonal skills to assist the servers in creating a positive impression of the restaurant’s hospitality, excellent service, and high standards. You will greet guests upon arrival, thank them upon leaving, have professional & hospitable communication, and set the tone for a great experience. Hosts monitor the flow of the restaurant through managing seating, reservations, and wait lists. The fast-paced and high-energy environment will challenge you as you play an important role in the overall success of the restaurant and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to Our Mission, Every Guest Leaves Happy, through teamwork, hospitality, proactive communication, and helping outside your role as needed.
- Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a smile, eye contact, and genuine hospitality.
- Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
- Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests as appropriate.
- Tend to special guest needs and requests with hospitality and a sense of urgency.
- Observant to guests' needs throughout dining experience and communicate needs proactively to ensure they receive high quality service.
- Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
- Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Respond urgently and appropriately to guests’ and coworkers’ needs.
- Exhibit a professional appearance and mannerisms.
- Ensure guests are enjoying their experience and take action to correct any problems.
- Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies.
- Concludes the guest experience by acknowledging choice of establishment and inviting patrons to return.
- Complete assigned sidework at the beginning, during, and at end of shift.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe.
- Must be able to carry trays or supplies (up to 25 lbs.)
- Food Handler Certification.
