Oversee the delivery of the IT portfolio using portfolio management, project management, and organizational change management disciplines, to achieve business objectives.
- Define, manage, and monitor the IT portfolio to maximize the throughput of high value projects.
- Prioritize and manage the IT portfolio based on changing business priorities, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and interdependencies
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of portfolio and project reporting, including general project metrics, value realization, and customer satisfaction.
- Plan, execute, and deliver key strategic IT projects according to standard methodology including proactively presenting project progress, project health, risks, issues, and ongoing challenges through Steering Committee Meetings and project update meetings. Provide recommendations as needed.
- Provide oversight, training, and mentoring to Project Managers.
- Develop and continuously improve the IT portfolio and project management process, tools and templates.
- Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; selecting and managing service providers; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA, performance management, department budget
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
- Strong ability to foster and build a collaborative working relationship with various stakeholders
- Strong ability to challenge customers and stakeholders to better understand their needs and resolve problems

- Strong knowledge of portfolio management, project management, organizational change management, governance, and team management principles and processes

- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Fluent in English and the primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
- Minimum five years of project and program management experience
- Minimum three years management experience, preferred
- Experience in project/portfolio resource planning, reporting, prioritization, and budgeting
- Experience leading projects and programs within and outside IT, as well as projects and programs that involved external providers
