Our CNAs spend more time with our patients than any other team member and are a vital and valued part of our care team!
On an average day as a CNA, with Brighton Hospice you will work with our clinical team to provide patient care. We believe that the end of life should be just as beautiful as the beginning. Hospice care provides patients with the quality of life they deserve and freedom from pain as they leave this life. This role requires daily driving in order to provide care where our patients call home, this could be a home setting, facility setting, hospital, etc.
Daily Tasks
- Provide social interaction and reassurance to the patient and family
- Spend one-on-one time assisting hospice patients with daily living activities (Personal hygiene, bathroom needs and physical activity)
- Report changes in the patient's condition or environment to the attending nurse/RN
- Support patient teaching and other procedures based on patient plans of care supported by RNs, Therapists, Social Workers, and Chaplains
- Prepare and submit documentation of observations, findings, and services provided
- Administer emergency first aid when needed
- Perform additional, related duties as needed

Qualifications
Desired Skills/Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification required
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and transportation in order to travel to the patient's location
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to complete patient charting on a daily basis
- A desire to take the next big step in your career
