Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plumbing Manager to join our team. As a Plumbing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our Plumbing division. This includes coordinating and supervising the work of our team members, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in work, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
Duties:
- Manage and supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance and support as needed
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work assignments to ensure timely completion of projects
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to maintain, repair, and install various systems
- Interpret schematics and blueprints to effectively troubleshoot issues and develop solutions
- Perform pipe threading, welding, assembly, and other necessary tasks related to work
- Coordinate with other departments and contractors to ensure seamless project execution
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology
-Oversee the daily operations of the service department, including work orders, customer correspondence, etc..
-Monitor performance among the plumbing technicians, provide feedback, and develop improvement plans with the management team.
-Provide exceptional customer service and maintain customer relationships on a daily basis.
-Survey projects and provide quotes to the customers as needed.
-Maintain knowledge of plumbing systems in supermarkets, restaurants, and industrial buildings.
-Assist with administrative tasks pertaining to the department.
-Closely monitor the service operations
-Maintain a strong working knowledge of company standards and practices and enforce them among the plumbing service team.
-Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
-Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
-Maintain all health dept standards, laws, and regulations.
-Adhere to all safety codes, quality, and safety rules.
-Must perform work safely on ladders, scissor lifts and boom lifts.
-Must maintain a current driver's license, a clean driving record and proof of insurance at all times during employment.
-Properly and effectively use all job tracking applications as instructed.
-Properly and effectively use all GPS/time tracking applications as instructed.
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Must have 10 years of both plumbing and management experience.
· Successful candidates should have 8 or more years’ experience in Commercial Plumbing work.
· Experience training new/apprentice plumbers.
· Candidates must have proficiency and experience in advanced plumbing work including but not limited to: Backflow, Hydro Jetting, camera operation, and vacuum drainage systems.
· Ability to read and follow blueprints and handwritten drawings.
· Strong problem solving/critical thinking skills for troubleshooting.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to complete projects unsupervised.
· Attention to detail and a team-oriented attitude is required.
· Knowledge of retail grocery stores and restaurants highly desired.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in field service, remodeling, or construction plumbing is preferred
