We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Director of Financial Systems to build and manage state-of-the art finance and accounting platforms using SAP S4/HANA. As a key IT leader, you will be responsible for standing-up the corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and implementing all major financial processes including record-to-report, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay. You will work closely with business leaders and our systems integration partners to align business processes, to develop functional requirements, and to ensure a timely, successful implementation of the SAP S4 HANA solution over the next twelve months.
Because we are acquiring telecom assets in 20 states, you will lead through the added complexity of understanding the seller’s current ERP landscape, identifying ways to leverage their existing platforms to accelerate implementation before the planned close of the transaction in Q3 2022. Although this will be a new implementation for a new company, you will lead through the complexity of converting data from the seller’s legacy systems, building temporary interfaces to enable transition services agreements, and ensuring quality and consistency of financial record keeping and asset management.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled leader who thrives on being at the center of the action to build a contemporary platform that ensures a smooth transition of the business from the seller to our company while delivering a scalable, flexible platform that enables growth.
As the IT Director of Financial Systems & Processes; you will:
- Work closely with finance leaders to design, build, test and implement comprehensive and efficient financial platforms, systems and processes
- Review, analyze seller’s financial data and processes. Build interfaces and integrations to migrate financial records and assets to new SAP S4 landscape
- Establish General Ledger reconciliation and financial consolidation processes between seller’s and new company to effectively produce period end reporting, management reporting and controlling
- Plan and manage ongoing enhancements, upgrades and support of SAP ecosystems while establishing best practices in governance, risk mitigation and audit compliance
- Make key decisions on system setup and configuration, ensuring adequate internal controls are in place
- Develop and deliver training to functional users to ensure smooth transition and effective usage of tools and system functionality
- Drive business transformation and process simplification by leading as technology adviser and proponent for industry best practices
- Create an environment where people and technology thrive together to deliver business agility, innovation and superior user experience
- Build a dynamic, and diverse team of SAP functional and technical experts who will solve complex business problems, drive platform strategy and will establish efficient financial practices and reporting
