What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Coordinator- Home Care position at Brightstar Care - St. Paul?
$1500 Sign-On Bonus for this position! Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Rotating on-call (Call answering only) with additional pay. We are looking for an experienced Scheduling Coordinator to join our Home Care Team! Annual Salary at $40,000 with opportunity for promotion to Customer Care Manager position within the first year. Weekly Staffing Bonuses and Monthly bonuses available!
The Scheduler is responsible for creating and fostering relationships with clients and/or local facilities for staffing of Certified Nursing Assistants and/or Home health aides in the Burnsville area. They also manage scheduling of field staff, managing all touch-points (field staff and Clients) and Service Agreement standards, and ensuring the department meets or exceeds hours staffed conversion goals. They act as the field staff supervisor and may handle answering front-line employment questions, giving employee feedback, employee engagement, disciplinary actions, and day-to-day communication. This position is the glue that holds home care together!

Responsibilities
- Customer/client care – effectively manages the customer care procedures and serves as point of contact for client/customer relations.
- Scheduling and care coverage – supports and uses all technology tools and resources to ensure proper business processes; schedules staff to meet client care needs and minimize non-billed overtime; ensures on-call phone and assigned staff are properly trained and available as needed.
- Billing and coding management
- Assists with the intake of new clients and informs potential clients of our services and reasons to utilize BrightStar over other agencies
- Assists in the development of organization goals and agency performance improvement activities
- Administers agency policies and procedures
- Assists the Director of Nursing with assessing the competency of staff to promote quality, continuity and safety of a client’s care
- Supervises, educates and coaches other field personnel, as directed by the Director of Nursing
- Provide information to be used for statistics, reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities
- Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
- Assures compliance with all local, state and federal laws
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) *Constant Use
- Flexibility and good time management skills A MUST
- Team Player
- Minimum of 1 year experience managing customer service within a healthcare office setting; knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare office regulations.
- Excellent organization, planning, and project management skills.
