Position Summary

The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for resolving staff and patient needs through the utilization of multi-disciplinary support and established resources. He/she leads by example in all nursing operations within the assigned BrightView location(s). The Nurse Supervisor will work directly with nursing and medical assistants to ensure high-quality patient care, customer service excellence, compliance with all federal, state, and local accrediting bodies, rules and regulations. This position will provide daily oversight to ensure staffing, training, and continuous support is available to frontline staffing. Travel as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Direct supervision of all Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and auxiliary staff within assigned site(s)

Maintain nursing operations by enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures

Maintain nursing performance through coaching, counseling of employees

Provide continuous feedback related to 90-day and annual performance reviews

Hold individuals accountable for daily performance expectations

Essential Job Duties:

Responsible for nursing operations and performance within an assigned site(s)

Establish/maintain a supportive and inclusive culture aligned with organizational Mission, Vision, and Values

Maintain cooperative working relationships among health care teams by communicating information and responding to requests

Develop and post nursing schedules, within the allotted time frames, to ensure adequate staffing and coverage

Provides shift coverage based on operational needs

Maintain patient confidence and protects operations through the monitoring of confidential information processing

Maintain accurate documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and departmental records

Ensure adequate medication/supplies available onsite, monitor expiration date(s), discard per policy

Oversee daily work of RNs, LPNs, and medical assistants; be able to competently perform in every role

Support OTP compliance and processes and support patient care by managing coordination of care for direct admission, guest dosers, and other critical functions

Training and Development:

Conduct new employee training; implement and train nursing staff related to updates and changes in nursing protocol

Maintain nurse competency through continual orienting and training nurses and auxiliary staff

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure a safe, clean working environment by Initiate/maintain procedures, rules and protocols related to infection control

Enforce/maintain processes for medication management; enforce safe medication administration practices, safe storage procedures, controlled substance regulations

Detailed Job Description

Monitors dispensing and temperature logs, biannual reporting, and documentation related to medication and inventory practices

Ensure quality of care by enforcing adherence to the stated board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements

Ensure compliance of all regulatory bodies within assigned region; Adherence to all federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements (OHMAS, TJC, SAMHSA, BOP, DEA)

Ensure timely completion of all Nursing related Incident Reports

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education / Degree:

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or other equivalent degrees

Required Certification / License:

Registered Nurse (RN)

Required Work Experience:

A minimum of two years of nursing experience is preferred, one year supervisory experience required, ideally in a drug and alcohol or psychiatric setting

Compensation range: 75,000-80,000 annually (based on skills, licensure & experience)

Pay: $37.00 - $40.00 per hour
