What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Leader position at BrightView Landscapes?

Here’s what you’d do:
The Regional Sales Leader (RSL) is responsible for leading a selling team comprised of territory Business Developers (BD). The RSL is accountable for providing direction and leadership to the territory BDs with a primary focus of achieving the regional sales and profitability goals. Provides quality leadership in all assigned tasks, while upholding BrightView’s Values at all times: inclusive of building trust, driving engagement, ensuring accountability and building effective teams while focusing on the client.
You’d be responsible for:
- Collaborating with Branch Managers and Business Developers on strategic sales plans for each market for short and long-term growth
- Frequent field coaching with Business Developers in their territory regarding prospecting calls, presentations and client meetings
- Driving pipeline activity and manage team by encouraging focus on qualified opportunities to support monthly/quarterly forecasting
- Managing key sales metrics through sales force automation and productivity reporting
- Being involved in client presentations either in a coaching/ support role, or a lead facilitation role
- Participating in training sessions and boot camps when necessary to enhance product/service knowledge and overall skill level
- Achieving the assigned territory revenue and profitability quotas for BrightView services as they are sold into all customer segments within assigned region
- Establishing an environment and foundation for future sales growth
- Driving pipeline activity and manage team by encouraging focus on qualified opportunities to support monthly/quarterly forecasting
- Selling and teaching others how to sell value and solutions to BrightView customers
- Directing the selling activities within assigned territory, inclusive of resource deployment and customer interactions
- Prioritizing effectively and in accordance with corporate objectives
- Leading the sales team, inclusive of managing performance, coaching, mentoring, hiring and career development
- Territories forecasting and sales tracking
- Executing on the vision for the Region and develops and adheres to a business plan to attain this vision
- Evaluating market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of territory sales and profitability
- Being involved in client presentations either in a coaching/ support role, or a lead facilitation role
- Disseminating information to BDs, Regional and Sales leadership, corporate marketing and operations as necessary
- Special projects as assigned
You might be a good fit if you have:
- Bachelors degree in Business or Marketing preferred
- 7 years of sales management experience leading multi-locations sales teams
And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:
- Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Experience in the service industry with commercial contract sales desirable
- Local knowledge and contacts in one or more market segments preferred
- Must be a great coach and motivational leader who can influence without using formal authority
- Extensive face-to-face selling experience at the mid to senior levels
- Experience managing multiple projects and able to multi-task
- Experience with a CRM or SFA tool beneficial
- Proven track record of sales team goal attainment
- Highly competitive, positive, and results driven sales leader
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working experience with social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter)
- Organized and able to manage time in a large territory
- Experience with longer term selling cycles
