The Staff Accountant for Brightview Senior Living is responsible for the day-to-day general accounting of a portfolio of Brightview communities.

Essential Job Duties Include the Following:
Consistently and genuinely demonstrate the STARS principles of Service, Teamwork, Action, Reputation and Success in all activities and interactions
Responsible for the preparation and recording of weekly payroll journal entries.
Research questions related to payroll including variations to budget.
Preparation of monthly financial statements and reports for a portfolio of companies.
Prepare monthly balance sheet account work papers.
Prepare monthly reconciliations of bank statements and research open items.
Assist in the yearly budget preparation and review process.
Assist with year-end audits including audit package preparation.
Additional duties as assigned by the Corporate Controller.
Essential Skills, Experience and Talents:
Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field.
2-4 years of accounting experience.
Technical competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and general ledger applications (Yardi experience preferred).
