Job Description:
Responsibilities: - Maintain and oversee the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data. - Manage and process accounts receivable and accounts payable. - Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to GAAP. - Reconcile accounts and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded. - Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology, particularly QuickBooks and Excel. - Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. - Conduct month-end and year-end close processes. - Handle invoicing and ensure timely collection of receivables. - Prepare and submit timely monthly financial reports. - Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance. - Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. -Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies. - Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections. - Assists outside auditors by providing necessary account information and documents for the annual audit.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience. - Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. - Strong understanding and application of GAAP. - Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - CPA certification is preferred but not required.
