JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Therapist
Group: J Advanced Specialties
Supervised by: Executive Director
Purpose: Deliver services and complete tasks that require advanced skills sometimes with skills in more than one program or service type. Requires complex decision making and prioritization skills, advanced level of efficiency and self-initiation, advanced communication and interpersonal skills. Responsible for developing and/or implementing new strategies that will increase the likelihood of successful outcomes related to their own work and the work of others. Responsible for orientation and support regarding the work of others sometimes in more than one service area. Requires the ability to develop and maintain partnerships.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide individual, family and group therapy services to child victims of sexual assault or physical abuse (and their non-offending caregivers);
- Meet National Children’s Alliance standards for mental health services;
- Participate in Children’s Advocacy Center multidisciplinary team;
- Manage referrals for appointments;
- Complete required paperwork by due dates including case notes and billing;
- Maintain licensure requirements;
- Must complete training per contract requirements;
- Meet and maintain standards and contract requirements for all EBP quality assurance, improvement, and training activities.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with contractors, referrers, community partners and model trainers/consultants;
- Attend agency mandatory meetings, supervision and required trainings.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Master’s degree required. Associate Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist or Social Worker with the State of Washington required. Two years relevant professional experience required. Prior training and experience in an evidence-based treatment model for childhood trauma preferred. Fluency in Spanish and English desired.
