What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Driver (FT) position at Brilar, LLC?
The CDL-A Driver is critically important to our growth and success. The CDL-A Driver will help pre-position assets and materials to maximize operational efficiency. During the winter months, our drivers operate snow & ice management vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Enthusiastically support, promote, and adhere to our Core Values: accountability, continuous improvement, win/win (1 1=3), unity, integrity, safety, and respect.
- Safe transportation of company assets and materials to and/or from Brilar job sites or between Brilar branches.
- Adhere to all federal, local, and state laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
- Self-loading and unloading of all assets and materials to and/or from Brilar job sites or between Brilar branches.
- Participates in other branch operation activities when called upon to do so.
- Actively participate in snow & ice management operations, which requires on-call 24/7 availability.
- Conduct daily DOT inspection(s) of any assets used per federal requirements and company policies.
- Report any vehicle defects or unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
- Report any incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Represent the company, and our brand, in a positive manner at all times.
- Continue to develop and improve skills and techniques through a commitment to continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Aligns well with Brilar’s core values, vision, and mission.
- Pass pre-hire drug test and consent to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-incident drug testing.
- Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Must possess and maintain a valid CDL-A driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must possess a valid MDOT health card.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience transporting heavy equipment on flatbed trailers.
- Occasional overnight stays when needed (limited).
- Possess a positive and friendly attitude. Be easy to do business with.
- Pass a pre-hire drug test and consent to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-incident drug testing.
- Must be insurable by Brilar insurance carrier.
Compensation:
- Hourly.
- Hourly benefits package.
