Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for a Collections/Cash Applications Specialist for one of our clients in the distribution industry, located in Carol Stream, IL. The accounting team needs assistance with a huge AR cleanup project. The Collections/Cash Applications Specialist will be responsible for cleaning up portions of cash applications that are unapplied and collecting past due balances. The Collections/Cash Applications Specialist will be brought on a contract basis for 2 months and would be required to be onsite every day. Qualified candidates will be considered immediately and begin the interview process.

Collections/Cash Applications Specialist Responsibilities:
- Assist in AR backlog cleanup project and support Controller
- Review portions of cash applications that are unapplied
- Research and resolve open items and collect on past due balances
- Apply appropriate cash to proper accounts
- Communicate to vendors to obtain necessary information so accounts are current
- Handle credit memos
- 3 years of related collections/cash applications experience
- Must have experience in B2B accounts
- Manufacturing, distribution, or logistics experience
- System savvy, has knowledge of large ERP systems
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus
