Production Operator

Brinderson is actively seeking lease operators to add to our growing team in Bakersfield, Ca

Job Description

Gauge production on assigned wells, and report gauge readings, downtime and other pertinent well information to area office

• Perform lease maintenance such as minor surface pump and production equipment repairs and adjustments; trim weeds, clean up trash, etc.; grease pumping units, service lease equipment, etc.
• Note problems and/or recommend courses of actions to supervisor in order to decrease costs and increase production
• Assist in witnessing meter calibrations; monitor rates and pressures on injection and disposal wells; make necessary adjustments; monitor chemical use; and test safety systems daily to maximize daily production
• Perform work in a manner that ensures the secure and environmentally safe operation of all wells and leases for which pumper is responsible
• Interface professionally with lease owners and other contractors
• Conduct other tasks as required by supervisor which are unique to the assigned geographic area
• Create/sign various work permits for safe operations in assigned areas

Education/Experience Required

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited state-certified program
• Must possess a current, valid driver’s license and the ability to meet and maintain all eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle
• Must have 2 years production operating experience
• Must have an interest in gaining knowledge of engineering principles and an understanding of subsurface and surface equipment and operations
• Must be able to perform simple mathematic calculations, have good mechanical aptitude, good writing skills, and have a good safety and driving record
• Must be self-motivated to perform job duties safe with little supervision once trained.
• Prior work experience utilizing PC-based computer applications
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule – work will include Saturdays, Sundays, nights, and some holidays that can be changed at any time
• Must be able to be available on-call 24/7 during your shift in case of emergency
• Must be able to work in the United States indefinitely

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
• Must be willing and able to drive a company-owned vehicle for extended periods of time

Experience:

• Lease Operator: 2 years (preferred but not required). Previous oil/gas industry experience (required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
