Position: Scientist (ref.# 7830)

Duties: Support the identification of potential predictive biomarkers, receptor occupancy, target engagement, and pharmacodynamic assays to support progression of targeted therapies in oncology by drawing on experience with experimental design, execution, data analysis and troubleshooting; vitro/ex vivo pharmacology, including complex human primary cell culture, including whole blood, PBMC, 3D cultures, tumor explants and tumor/immune co-culture; a wide range of in-vitro cellular and biochemical assays, including cell culture, western blotting, immunoprecipitation, ELISAs (MSD), reporter assays, high-parameter flow cytometry, siRNA/shRNA knockdown, CRISPR-mediated genome editing, qPCR, cloning, lentivirus generation and transduction, RNA and DNA sequencing; data mining through use of desktop tools/interfaces and public databases such as UCSC genome Browser, CBIO, GTex, and Oncoland; utilizing software such as Graph Pad, Microsoft office etc. for data analysis and figure generation; and bioinformatic approaches both technically and theoretically. Support mechanism of action studies using primary human tissue, 3D cultures, complex co-cultures and mouse models. Co-lead translational research sub-team and execute various experiments to provide translational deliverables to the project team. Handle complex human primary cell culture including tumor explants, tumor organoids and tumor/ immune co-culture.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biology or a related field plus 3 years of post-baccalaureate experience reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill set described above. The required skills do not need to be maintained over the full term of required experience.
Salary: $120,000/year – 130,000/year
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $120,000/year – 130,000/year, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
