SUMMARY
As a member of Broadreach’s client services team, the Client Associate supports the senior team in executing the day-to-day tasks and deliverables for a wide range of clients. The Client Associate will provide general public relations support that includes, writing, task management, social media, media outreach and research.

Specific tasks include:

· Attending client meetings, preparing agendas and taking thorough notes .

· Staying current on contemporary issues and trends in public relations and industries of assigned clients.

· Reading local, industry and national news to stay up-to-date on current affairs.

· Monitoring for client news through a variety of channels .

· Copywriting for communication materials including but not limited to press releases, blog posts, social media content and bylined articles.

· Executing on communications plans prepared by senior team members.

· Pitching stories to a variety of media outlets.

· Preparing reports that tie analytics to client goals and outcomes.

· Researching current and prospective clients and industries.

· Building targeted media lists.

· Supporting team in media events including press conferences and on-site interviews.

· Performing other duties as assigned to support the client relations team.

The Client Associate will possess a growth mindset, strong writing skills and media savvy, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage time and deliverables. Additional qualifications and experience include:

· Client focused, with a high bar for quality and results.

· Outstanding writing skills, including excellent proofreading skills and knowledge of AP Style.

· Highly collaborative, with strong communications skills, and able to work well in teams.

· Strong time management and organizational skills, and an ability to seamlessly balance multiple assignments and client situations.

· Confidence and presence to work effectively with account teams and clients

· A “Team Pride” attitude, without concern for getting the credit. Driven by success of the effort versus personal ego.

· Well-rounded, adaptable and detailed-oriented individual comfortable working through challenges.

· Quick learner, who is prepared to jump in at a moment’s notice.

· Solid judgment and the capacity to accurately assess complicated situations and ask the right questions.

· Proficiency in navigating and engaging in the leading social media channels including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.

· Able to embrace continuous learning and take on new challenges.

· 1-3 years of relevant experience in journalism, communication or related field.

· Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field.

TRAVEL AND SCHEDULE
· Flexible hybrid schedule with 2-3 days in office.

· Ability to travel locally for events.

· Ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as necessary for planned client events and/or client crisis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Must be able to work in a dog-friendly environment.

· Ability to travel to client, vendor, or event locations to support client initiatives.

· Ability to lift 25 to 30 pounds on occasion.

· Must be able to climb 2 flights of stairs to offices.

· Must be able to remain in a stationary position, work at a computer, and use a keyboard for most of the day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $47,000.00 per year
