About the position :
- Provide day-to-day management and oversight of data systems and pipelines, as well as troubleshoot existing procedures and processes to optimize data quality, ensure content accuracy, improve system performance, and maximize the potential value that is found in data. You will architect, build, and maintain data models, entity relationships diagrams, data flow processes, data dictionaries, taxonomies, and metadata.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on several data projects providing regular updates to team resources and management as needed
- Design conceptual and logical data modeling, flowcharts, data mapping, and data definitions including naming and labeling conventions
- Enhance data process models, that include sourcing, extraction, transformation, and loading of data from internal and external systems
What you need to perform in this job :
- Expert knowledge in data modeling, data architecture, SQL, ETL architecture, and BI architecture is mandatory
- Must be proficient with the concepts of data literacy, data visualization, and data strategies
- Has a good understanding of data pipelines, microservices, orchestrations, message queuing, and pub/sub.
- Must have several years of experience working with data and/or analytics platforms, such as Google Data Studio, AWS RDS, AWS DynamoDB, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse, SQL Server, Oracle Database, DBT, Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, or SAP BusinessObjects (one of these)
- Experience with different programming languages such as such as Python, R, Java, JavaScript, SQL, C/C , C#, Perl, Bash, and PowerShell is an asset .
- Experience with sourcing data from Salesforce, accounting systems, and marketing platforms are considered an asset
- Have previously administered information and/or data systems with respect to monitoring and alerting, task automation, performance, capacity, availability, data protection, and recoverability
- Ability to interpret trends and patterns in existing data, as well as have a good understanding of statistical methodologies
