Our company is looking for a Production Specialist to join our local small business. The ideal candidate can work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and will be directly involved in the manufacturing of high-end leather belts and other small leather accessories. This position requires a skill of strict attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality goods. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn the trade and interested in a long-term commitment.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce leather goods from start to finish. This task includes cutting whole hides of leather, skiving edges of leather, burnishing and painting edges, sewing leather goods together on industrial sewing machine and embossing logos.
- Monitor the status of orders and ensure that they are delivered on time.
- Complete daily production schedules.
- Investigate and report damaged goods
- Work closely with operations personnel to streamline production procedures.
- Assess priorities and collaborate to meet deadlines
- Coordinate shipments going to customers.
- Follow safety procedures during all phases of production.
Skills required:
- Attention to detail and an understanding of quality control in the manufacturing process
- Willingness to learn and a commitment to ongoing training
- Familiarity with manufacturing standards and systems
- Ability to multitask
- Organization
- Strongly prefer industrial sewing experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
