JOB TITLE: Personal Trainer
JOB SUMMARY: To recruit and train our members. Trainers will be responsible for implementing fitness assessments, functional movement screens, and developing fitness programs for their clients to achieve their desired fitness and lifestyle goals. Trainers will also be responsible reaching predetermined monthly goals.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Promote yourself to our members through face to face contact or through phone calls, email, or other sources of communication.
2. Create, organize and implement programs in the fitness department and also through community outreach.
3. Maintain or increase a preset sales level each month, as determined by the Personal Training Director.
4. Perform fitness assessments on potential and existing clients, tracking their progress, and following up with them on different programs.
5. Access Club Automation to charge all Personal Training clients and Small Group Training.
6. Record all contacts with potential and existing clients in our contact logs.
7. Assist members and make contact with them on the fitness floor during "down time."
8. Develop programs that will help you recruit clients and promote yourself to our members.
9. Clean and help maintain a spotless fitness center.
10. Create an environment that will help our clients reach their fitness and lifestyle goals.
EDUCATION: B.S. Degree in Exercise Science, or related field. Certified as a Personal Trainer through a Nationally recognized organization, such as ACE, NASM, or others.
EXPERIENCE: Trainers must have a strong knowledge of proper exercise instruction, some sales knowledge, and be able to work well with people.
REPORTS TO: Personal Training Director
