The purpose of the multimedia designer is to support the development of active learning strategies identified by the instructional designers and leadership teams for programs, courses, and special projects. Active learning strategies can include but are not limited to interactive learning activities, videos, and interactive components within the Canvas LMS.

We are looking for a Multimedia Developer to join our team.
The purpose of the multimedia designer is to support the development of active learning strategies identified by the instructional designers and leadership teams for programs, courses, and special projects. Active learning strategies can include but are not limited to interactive learning activities, videos, and interactive components within the Canvas LMS.
- Assist with general maintenance of CSS in Canvas LMS
- Design course content and materials using CSS and HTML
- Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to create engaging e-learning content
- Identify unique and creative solutions to solve e-learning design problems
- Help identify and/or create high quality images to support healthcare education instruction
- Develop multimedia content such as interactive learning activities and videos that will engage students and provide content needed to help them succeed
- Produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards and site maps
- Upload and manage content in Wordpress
- Perform user experience tests on products to ensure optimum execution
- Create infographics, templates, and resources to support subject matter expert course development
- Apply WCAG 2.1 guidelines to web, LMS, and online course assets to support accessible elearning experiences
- Alternative duties and tasks as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two (2) or more years using educational technology and developing multimedia products
- Knowledge of learning management systems and third-party teaching and learning tools
- Knowledge of CSS and HTML. Other coding knowledge a plus
- Experience with multimedia production platforms such as Articulate 360, Canvas Studio, Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience using Wordpress or other content management systems
- Expert knowledge of MS Office suite and related apps
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems
- Experience creating interactive video and lecture content for higher education
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
- Ability to analyze information, document conclusions, and develop recommendations
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical personnel
- Must have a strong familiarity with recognized E-learning technical standards
- Ability to adapt and handle multiple projects with different priority levels
- Experience working remotely in a self-motivated role
