What are the responsibilities and job description for the Courtesy Officer position at Brookside Properties?
$1269 of rental assistance given to a full time Courtesy Officer to live on site for a newly remodeled West Knoxville Apartment Community. Must be employed by City of Knoxville or Knox County Sherrif's Office
Walk the entire property on a daily basis once after 6pm. On Saturdays & Sundays, also walk once during the day as well as after dark.
Make notes of any unusual activity. Check for inoperable exterior lights. Check office and maintenance shop doors making sure all doors are locked.
- Tag all inoperable vehicles, out-of-date stickers and/or license, flat tires, cars on jacks, etc. Report all information back to office.
- Report activity of residents who call 911 or have police, fire or ambulance visits to their apartment.
- Respond to after hour noise complaints on an as needed basis.
- If possible, accompany manager during the execution of landlord liens, three-day notices or with any other problems.
- Lock the swimming pool every night at 10:00p.m.
- Deliver late notices, monthly newsletters, or maintenance notifications to residents
- On holidays, make a special effort to walk the property more frequently.
- Enforce community policies for all residents and guests. .
- Check in with office staff on weekend hours, either by phone or in person.
- Agree to follow all community policies of our community.
- Find replacement for any times that I am on vacation, ill or otherwise unavailable to perform my normal duties. I will notify the office and the answering service of replacement’s name, title, pager, cell and home phone number and the time frame in which this person will be taking calls.
