Job Summary
Accounting Clerk responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, invoicing, processing credit card transactions, and reconciling bank statements. You may also run an accounting software program and do various functions to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. A successful accounting clerk should be familiar with accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers and Excel spreadsheets. You will also assist with clerical work and filing.
Responsibilities

- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain documents and records
- Prepare bank deposits and general ledger postings
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Data entry of financial transactions in accounting software
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Proficiency with general ledger accounting and financial software
- Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and aptitude for numbers
- Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized
- High school degree
- Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Reliable attendance
- Excellent 10 key typing skills for data entry accuracy
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
