What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director position at Brown Academy?
We are currently looking to add another director to our administrative team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong passion for education with great management skills to supervise and direct the program, ensure classroom safety, and prepare and evaluate the curriculum for children.
Responsibilities of a Preschool Director
- Responsible for Facilities Management, Staffing Management, Program Administration and Parental Communication and Involvement.
- Work with teachers to ensure that all classrooms are safe, attractive and developmentally appropriate.
- Supervise the overall program including; administrative assistant, teachers and teaching assistants.
- Responsible for all training and staff development
- Ensure compliance with all state and local licensing regulations and Apple Accreditation standards.
- Familiarize parents with school policies and provide new parents with orientation. Assist parents to plan, facilitate and coordinate services for children with disabilities and behavioral needs.
Requirements of the Preschool Director
- Associates degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field of study
- 2 years or more experience working in an early childhood program
- Background and experience in Special Education a benefit
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
