Morstan General Agency seeks a Business To Business Sales Representative for our wholesale team in Northern, NJ. Under the general leadership of the Director of Business Development, the Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing new relationships with new and existing insurance Brokers to support the growth of Morstan General Agency. This position offers an outstanding base salary and an opportunity to learn the wholesale side of the insurance business. Salary range is $58,500 to $75,000 plus bonus. WHAT YOU WILL DO: • Effectively prospect new business contacts, while also enhancing existing Broker and Agent relationships. • Build and maintain key relationships with carriers, vendors and other parties. • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of products offered through Morstan and stay abreast of regulatory and compliance changes. • Pursue educational objectives for professional development. • Strategizes with Profit Center Leader on marketing opportunities to grow the division. • Submit marketing reports on a timely basis. • Correspond with Brokers, Carriers, general agents and clients via phone, mail and email to respond to escalated or complex quote and claim inquiries, investigate and resolve issues, and follow up on outstanding items. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: • Minimum education required High School Diploma or GED. • Proficient with MS Office Suite • Exceptional telephone demeanor • Valid Driver License • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality • 5 or more years' experience in a similar position • This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position. Preferred • Associate or bachelor’s degree in an insurance or accounting related discipline • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a broker’s license We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
