POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

The CDL Delivery Driver delivers orders safely and efficiently to designated store locations within set timeframe while ensuring proper handling and delivery of orders. Facilitate the loading and unloading of orders, stocking and maintenance of products and ensuring order and inventory accuracy.

  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude at all times.

Day to Day Operations:

  • Deliver orders to stores in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Deliver written orders to airlines and freight companies as required.
  • Loading and off-loading trucks.
  • Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment.
  • Stock shelves and keep stock clean and in order.
  • As required, fill orders from warehouse stock, complete order receipts, and assemble orders in shipping containers.
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Regulatory Adherence:

  • Ensure that OHS, LP, other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and adhered to.
  • Ensure AMCO and other government guidelines are met.
  • Adheres to all Brown Jug and Afognak policies, with a focus on Social Responsibility.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid CDL License "B" and DOT Medical Card.
  • Must be able to operate a Class B manual transmission.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating a 3-ton, or 5-ton vehicle is an asset.
  • Forklift and Power Jack Certification.
  • Minimum, 1-year experience in warehouse environment, preferred, not required.
