As the Financial Leader/Controller for BRPH Architects & Engineers, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all financial operations and providing strategic guidance to drive the company's financial success. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Management:

  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, prepare financial statements, and provide regular reports to the executive team and stakeholders.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes to optimize financial resources.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction, process improvement, and revenue enhancement.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Collaborate with the A&E leadership team to develop and implement financial plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and trend analysis, to provide insights and recommendations to management.
  • Provide guidance and support in financial decision-making, such as investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and resource allocation.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial reports, including statutory filings and tax returns.
  • Mitigate financial risks by identifying potential issues, implementing internal controls, and overseeing certificate of insurance policies.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
  • Maintains relationships with various banking institutions for the maintenance of accounts as well as the firm’s short-term
  • Responsible for calculation of the overhead recovery rate
  • Performs such other duties as the supervisor may deem necessary.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in finance and accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Leader/Controller or similar role, in professional services.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Deltek, SAP, Power BI).
  • Supervisory and management skills are required.
