As the Financial Leader/Controller for BRPH Architects & Engineers, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all financial operations and providing strategic guidance to drive the company's financial success.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Management:
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, prepare financial statements, and provide regular reports to the executive team and stakeholders.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes to optimize financial resources.
- Identify areas for cost reduction, process improvement, and revenue enhancement.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Collaborate with the A&E leadership team to develop and implement financial plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and trend analysis, to provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Provide guidance and support in financial decision-making, such as investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and resource allocation.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial reports, including statutory filings and tax returns.
- Mitigate financial risks by identifying potential issues, implementing internal controls, and overseeing certificate of insurance policies.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
- Maintains relationships with various banking institutions for the maintenance of accounts as well as the firm’s short-term
- Responsible for calculation of the overhead recovery rate
- Performs such other duties as the supervisor may deem necessary.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in finance and accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Financial Leader/Controller or similar role, in professional services.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Deltek, SAP, Power BI).
- Supervisory and management skills are required.
