IT Project Management

Vista Defense Technologies, LLC (VDT) is seeking an IT Project Manager   This position is a full-time, on-site with occasional telework, 40-hour/week contract position supporting the Virtual Medical Center program co-located at Navy Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), CA. The successful applicant will work as part of a team to provide ongoing program support to the Virtual Medical Center and its mission to provide telehealth support across the Defense Health Agency (DHA).   Responsibilities Provide project schedule and management support to government representatives, including deliverables and work products related to project schedule updates, project interdependency identification, critical milestone identification, and other scheduling activities, as required. Provide project risk management support to government representatives, including deliverables and work products related to project risk identification, project risk evaluation and scoring, project risk mitigation development and execution, project risk tracking/reporting, and other project risk management activities, as required. Author technical and business documentation under the subject matter expertise of assigned solutions. Adhere to DHA documentation standards using provided library of documentation templates and shall work within the established creation, review, and approval and publication process. Develop robust integrated schedules for various projects in a program and ensure dependencies between the schedules are tracked. Ensure that schedules are vetted by all the stakeholders for realistic durations and dependencies. Provide weekly meaningful reports on task burn down, progress, overdue tasks, ad hoc reports filtered for various reasons such as site, project, activity, timeframe, risks, dependencies, etc. and Executive reports   Qualifications Must be a U.S. citizen Must consent to and be able to pass a government background investigation (includes finger-printing) Certifications REQUIRED: must possess and maintain the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Minimum of 5 years’ Program/Project Management experience. Minimum of 5 years’ specific Information Technology (IT) experience. Minimum of 5 years’ Military Health System (MHS) or DHA IT experience. Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Framework. Must consent to providing proof of COVID vaccination in accordance with Federal Executive Order 14042 and/or DoD guidance/directives.
