The Market Intelligence and Advanced Analytics team is seeking an energetic data analyst to support data driven decision making at Mercury Marine at the company headquarters in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. This position requires an inquisitive mind, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The analyst will primarily support the global sales team but also work cross functionally with marketing, product management, engineering, and service teams.

Position Summary: Market Intelligence Manager
The Market Intelligence and Advanced Analytics team is seeking an energetic candidate to support & grow data driven decision making at Mercury Marine at the company headquarters in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. This position requires an inquisitive mind, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The analyst will primarily support the global sales team but also work cross functionally with marketing, product management, engineering, and service teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Create and support reporting dashboards in Tableau/Power BI/OBI
- Assist with short- and long-term forecasting and statistical analysis
- Develop innovative approaches to answering complex market questions
- Develop data workflows using Alteryx
- Collaborate external digital vendor partners
- Utilize Web analytics to best determine strategic project direction
- Analyze demographic/psychographic data
- Build predictive models leveraging machine learning
- Present crystalized analysis to senior company leadership (VP, President, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Data Science/Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related field (Master’s desired)
- 4-5 years work experience (includes internships)
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with analytical techniques such as:
- Multiple regression
- Data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, or other)
- Time series modeling (ARIMA, exponential smoothing, etc.)
- Classification (random forest, gradient boosting, logistic regression, etc.)
- Clustering
- Strong MS Office/Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience with analytical tools and platforms (examples include)
- R

- Tableau
- Power BI
- OBIEE
- VBA
