POSITION: Financial Services Assistant
HOURS/STATUS: Part-Time/Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Market Financial Aid Manager
START DATE: June 2024
LOCATION: Wisconsin Market- Wauwatosa Campus

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administers a high level of customer service by assisting students with the timely completion of their federal, state and institutional applications.
- Develop a working knowledge of all student financial aid programs administered by the Financial Aid Office.
- Effectively communicates information to students, parents, and other school personnel.
- Provides the necessary support to meet internal and external customer needs by handling inbound and outbound customer calls.
- Sets up new student files and collects all necessary documentation to complete file. Follows up with students on any missing or inaccurate information.
- Completes e-filing for Financial Aid Department & Business Office
- Adheres to all Federal and State Financial Aid Guidelines
- Ensure proper processing of student transcript requests.
- Create/maintain payment plans and prepare monthly invoices for current and former students.
- Work well with other departments to achieve enrollment and retention goals.
- Perform duties in a manner that is congruent with the College’s vision, standards and ethics.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the FAM and MFAM
COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an Accounting Major is preferred
- Detail oriented, strong initiative, superior customer service skills.
- Skills in prioritizing, organizing and problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and work with diverse groups.
- Must thrive on working in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment.
- Must possess a drive for excellence.
